Foreign tourists are eligible for a VAT refund of up to 10% on purchases at "Tax Free" or "Duty Free" shops. To qualify, goods must be taken out of Korea within 3 months of purchase. Visitors can receive a refund for a minimum purchase of KRW 15,000 (approx. USD 10.31).
For convenience, many major retail stores now offer "Immediate Tax Refunds" at the point of sale. For other purchases, you can easily process your refund at self-service kiosks located near the check-in counters or the customs clearance desk at Incheon International Airport before your departure.

The standard voltage in Korea is 220 volts. The outlet has two round holes and is the same type used in France, Germany, Austria, Greece, Türkiye, and many other countries. Always check the power supply before using your equipment.

When you need to exchange your foreign currency into Korean won, visit a bank or authorized exchange service center. Banks are generally open 09:00-16:00 on weekdays, with exceptions to certain banks that operate 09:30-16:30 such as EVERRICH Bank. Please be aware that money exchange of old currency may not be accepted at certain locations. Make sure to check if banks or authorized exchange service centers accept old currency beforehand.

Visitors can get their mobile devices connected for roaming here after a simple registration process. In addition to roaming services, SIM Card purchase, Wi-Fi egg rentals and even smart phone rentals are available.

Foreign tourists can receive a refund of domestic tax (such as VAT) from purchased goods at tax free stores within 3 months of departure from Korea. After receiving export confirmation from customs, tax refund can be immediately received at the Tax Refund Counter. (Domestic tax refund is eligible for purchases over KRW 15,000)
