It is a profound honor to welcome you to KoreAnesthesia 2026, held at Paradise City and Hyatt Regency Incheon Paradise City. This year’s congress holds extraordinary historical significance as we gather to celebrate the 70th Anniversary of the Korean Society of Anesthesiologists (KSA). Since our founding in 1956, the KSA has been a cornerstone of medical progress in Korea, and this milestone serves as a majestic bridge between our storied legacy and a limitless future.
This year’s slogan, “Smart Anesthesia, Safer Tomorrow,” encapsulates the vision of our congress.
“Smart” represents the integration of artificial intelligence, data-driven decision-making, cutting-edge technology, and deep clinical insight.
“Safer” reflects our unwavering commitment to enhancing patient safety and improving the quality of care.
“Tomorrow” signifies our dedication to future-oriented advancement and global collaboration.

As we reflect on seventy years of dedication, our vision for the future remains steadfast. The theme of this year’s meeting centers on the synergy between data-driven decision-making, cutting-edge technology, and profound clinical insight.
In an era of rapid digital transformation, we continue to lead by adopting AI-assisted analytics and sophisticated monitoring. Yet, we remain deeply rooted in the clinical wisdom passed down through generations. It is this balance—the marriage of high-tech and human-touch—that ensures we achieve our ultimate mission: enhancing patient safety and elevating the quality of perioperative care.

To mark this historic anniversary, we are placing a special emphasis on future-oriented growth and global collaboration. We are deeply honored to welcome the leadership of the World Federation of Societies of Anaesthesiologists. Their participation symbolizes the KSA’s vital role in the global medical community as we work together to shape the international agenda for our specialty.Furthermore, we are privileged to host the Editors-in-Chief of the world’s most prestigious journals, Anesthesiology and the Journal of Clinical Anesthesia. Their insights into the latest research trends and strategic academic publishing will empower our members to project their scholarly excellence onto the world stage more effectively than ever before.
Engaging with Pioneers: "Meet the Expert"
In celebration of our 70-year journey, we have introduced the "Meet the Expert" sessions. These intimate forums provide a rare opportunity for participants to engage in high-level dialogues with world-renowned pioneers. We hope these sessions foster the mentorship and collaboration that will define the next seventy years of our field.
